When Frank and I decided to leave Shrewsbury after 20 years, Becky was clearly our top choice.   Having heard around town that we were planning to relocate, she contacted us offering to help in any way that she could. She paid us a visit and made some suggestions as to how we could ready the property for the market, all this before we formally engaged her. Even though the house was not yet on the market, Frank and I were both spending considerable time away from Shrewsbury due to work and family commitments. Becky and Anne were very helpful in stopping in to check on the progress of the painting, carpeting and landscaping. When we were in town, Becky would stop in to keep us on track and see how we were doing. Their  encouragement was much appreciated!

 

Having missed the warm weather window, we were listing our house in November, hoping that we would not have to wait until spring for a buyer. Becky and Anne knew how to use various techniques when working our listing. Within three weeks, they held two open houses, a brokers’ luncheon and had a video tour produced and running on the web. When potential buyer activity slowed, Becky advised a slight price reduction which we decided to implement. Two weeks later, we had a solid offer which we accepted.

 

But Becky and Anne’s support did not end there. We closed within a month of accepting the offer which is very fast these days in the world of real estate. Becky and Anne insured this could happen by being totally organized and on top of everything. As we were no longer living in Shrewsbury, they helped immensely in moving things along that were required of us for the close. Becky handled the house inspection and took care of the logistics and paperwork from the smoke detector inspection. Knowing how hard it was for us to keep up with things from a distance, she and Anne directed us through the remaining tasks via E-mail and phone.

Thank you so much for your guidance and due diligence in helping Amy and I close on our new home in Holden.  We don’t believe we could have found anyone else that could have made this process any easier.

Here is our story:

Amy and I are getting married in August of this year.  We decided to rent out Amy’s current property and start looking at new homes – subsequently we found a home in Upton MA and moved forward in searching for a Real-estate agent to make an offer.  Unfortunately we had a very poor experience with our first agent and never even moved forward in making in offer.  We decided to take some time and start our search over again.  Fortunately, a few weeks later I overheard Becky speaking with her trainer at the YMCA about showing a house.  I introduced myself and asked if she was a Real-estate agent…. so began our journey together.
